My surgery is coming up on Jan 23. Creighton scheduled me for the follicular ultrasound series in the days leading up to the surgery, but since I had a cycle that ran long a couple months ago, I'm sure at this point that I won't be ovulating on those scheduled days so I need to contact them and reschedule the ultrasounds. I understand they go ahead with the laparoscopy regardless so that's set in stone for the 23rd.
Had a rough couple weeks - my MIL passed away on New Years Day. She was 86 and had been in failing health for some time now, so it was a relief and she's out of pain now. Fr. visited her last Tuesday for the last rites and she was awake and out of bed and said the prayers with Fr.. She was more alert than we'd seen her in weeks. She went downhill fast after that and passed the following day. The rosary/visitation was Friday and the funeral Saturday. We are very fortunate here to have a very reverent priest and the funeral mass was just lovely and so comforting. Burial was out in the country on top of a hill. It was so cold (20 degrees with a strong north wind) we all stood together and shivered. We teased Fr. later that he rushed through the burial so we didn't freeze to death. :)
It's been good to be so distracted from IF for the last couple weeks. Another blessing for me has been that my hubby has been leaning on me. He is one of the strongest people I know, and like a tall oak, he weathers all problems with amazing strength. But the last few weeks I've been able to support him for a change and it feels good. I can be the oak for a while. :)
